Repetitive tasks are always tedious and you can not perform certain tasks, like typing or pasting text, automatically with standard software. Recording macros is the best solution to execute these actions, without lifting a finger. You can use the software's various recording options to compile a list of automatic actions. Simple actions, like a mouse click, window commands (close, minimize, etc), opening a file, shutting down and others, can be selected from a pop up menu, after clicking a plus icon on the toolbar. Once added, the actions will be listed in the central region of the interface and you can move them up or down, remove or edit them.

Most of these actions are also categorized in separate pop up menus, which can be accessed the same way. Some actions, like a mouse click, are added in the list immediately after they are selected. Other ones need to be configured, on a separate window, before they are added. For example, if you select a keystroke, you need to specify what keys to use or if you select a text input, you need to type or paste the text.

Alternatively, you may record a whole series of actions in one run. After clicking the Record button on the toolbar, you just need to perform the action that you want to record. When you are done, you can use a hotkey to store the recording in the actions list. Clicking the Play button, located on the toolbar, will execute the listed actions or a recording. The actions list can be saved in the software's native format, so you can load it at any time to perform the same recorded task. It is also possible to schedule a macro to run automatically every minute, hour, day, week, month and so on or at a certain time and date.
